I decided it's about time I got some new avs up, so I made some new avs, and put them up. *nods* All of them but the Megan Fox one and the Ed Quinn one are from this site I run (and am working on getting back up and running again).

Oh, My, God
I went to Band Camp today, saw part of Deaf peds, since october, hed pe, lacuna coil, and dope, and Lacuna Coil was so fucking amazing
They were the best performance there, I swear - the first band to get people moshing around, even
I bought their cd as soon as they were done

I took my bro with me and he liked hed pe so I got them their cd, and the lead singer of Hed PE was walkin' around smokin' a cigar and chatting with people, so my bro got the cd signed ^_^

amazing day, and I was really surprised at how awful weed smoke smells - I thought it was bo until my brother was like "Dude no.."
Anyway, the smoke gave me a headache, and I should head off before my head explodes

So, I'm just playin' dynasty warriors 5 (xtreme legends, woot), and I realize I haevn't posted in a while, and there are movies whose trailers I wish to share

Now, this one is based on an anime/manga series called Blood: the last vampire or Blood+, I can't remember which, but it's been made into a live action movie that looks completely awesome
it comes out this weekend, but in limited theaters, so.. look into it

Hokay, next up is... hell what was it... uh...ok while I try to figure out what else I was going to embed, I'm gonna take a sec to bring up that the kick ass anime [b]Strawberry Panic![/b] is going to be released on july 21 in a complete 5 disc collection - no more buying single volumes
no idea how many people actually know Strawberry panic!, but I figured I'd mention, since I already preordered mine ^_^
Strawberry panic is about this girl who gets sent to.. Miator academy, and it's an all girls school, and for whatever reason basically every single student there is way gay (had to say that cuz it rhymed)
but the majority of them are actually lesbians runnin' around there, or at least bi and with no males around at all the bisexuals would seem lesbian
but... yeah

So like, I'm watching "Wipeout" on ABC (because of Jill Wagner, obviously) and I can't be the only one to notice that it's a less funny version of Most Extreme Elimination Challenge
even a couple of the stunts are pretty similar to MXC, but the hosts aren't funny
only thing this show has going for it is Jill oh and she just giggled, how adorable
OH and slow motion sexy poses from jill...

and the guy keeps saying I love you jill! as he goes through the course.... and the next guy is speaking in gibberish... lovely
and jill ran from the bee again
she's so adorable it should be a crime

Anybody else find that if they listen to too many good songs from avril lavigne (good meaning not this new shit but stuff like losing grip and even sk8r boi) they get in a weird mood? cuz that music starts feeling heavy after a while - to me at least *shrugs*

hm... awesome fic was updated today - not sure if anyone's ever read Bluestangeldust's Fallen from Grace (rei/serena, rei/minako, rei/hotaru) but the fic that was updated was loosely based on some of the stuff in that, I think - it's very different, not just in fandom (Fallen is sailor moon, and the other one isTeen Titans)
oh, fic that was updated is xXh3rsh3yXx's Left to Love (raven/Starfire, raven/blackfire, raven/terra)
both are very well done, so if anyone is interested in them fandoms... you should check them out, even if those pairings aren't your cup o tea

Why am I awesome, you may ask? for many reasons, really, and not just the cape *points to cape* and the psuedo fic emperorinsanitywrote up about SuperKen

lessee.... I've read 5 books this past week and a half (during the 2 days a week I'm at school is the only time I read) (oooh, I just guessed on the 5 books but that's right, it must have been 5.. i"m even more awesome than I thought!)
Poison, Storm Thief, The haunting of Alaizabel Cray, and Marked... I forgot the 5th one... a little less awesome, now... no, wait, storm thief took 2 days becuase I got bitched at for reading during a lecture
anyway, the first three are written by Chris Wooding
the link is to a place where he has excerpts to his books, very good stuff
Marked is the first in a series of at least 4, written by a mother/daughter team of PC cast and Kristin Cast
it's about vampyres and shit, quick read once you get engrossed into it
and the covers are gorgeous

So, I joined a vampire RPG not too long ago, and it occured to me that I don't know much about vampires, so this is me pondering how they work... ignore the following rambling if you have anything remotely better to do

One theory I've got in my head is that vampire fangs act like straws somehow, which is weird and only pops into my head because of Dracula dead and loving it (the scene where drac is draining lucy has a straw sound effect)
But that's so stupid I'll ignore it

another thing is, generally vampires are said to have just their canine teeth enlongated by the turning process, which means that even if they puncture the jugular, it would take SO long to drain the victim
even if they were asleep at the start of the bite, I imagine having their jugular punctured would wake them up, and since the teeth aren't straws the vampire would have to pull back to suck at the wound, which would give the victim time to be troublesome

my mind is boggled, especially since vampire lores differ depending on where you're looking... unless vampire dna is part vacuum

I read Rubyfruit Jungle by Rita Mae Brown yesterday
Reviews say that it has a happy ending... I think me and the reviewers have a very different opinion of 'happy ending'

It was a great book, about a lesbian who was born in 1944 and decided to be out and proud in a time when they can (and did fora bout a week) lock you up in a mental institution for it
The main char's (Molly's) life SUCKED
She had the worst luck I think I've seen/read/w/e to date, and yet she still refused to cave in and just do what society and others around her told her what she should do, even (soemtimes especially) if it was to make things easier on her
I don't think I would have been as strong as Molly was, to be honest... she isn't a perfect role model, but she's got some serious self respect going on, and all that breaking the gender barrier stuff

I guess that while I don't define it as a happy ending, it's at least a bittersweet ending
I'd reccommend it, though, definitely, because it is a fantastic book

annie on my mind is still the best, followed by empress of the world and dare, truth or promise
actually, DToP is better than EotW, but I digress...

So, today was Project logo in a day, which is basically a take off of project runway but with graphic designers
A 'client' comes in, tells you what they want in a logo, and they give you 4 hours to design the logo, design a mock website in adobe illustrator, and apply it to some merchandise, mount it on a blackboard
I got mine done second quickest, and did ze best mounting I've ever done (not oen bit is crooked this time) but I still didn't make the final 4

oh,a nd I lost like 15 minutes for a fire drill... I'm listening to that sandstorm techno song, right? and looking at my default av atm and it's ilke TECHNO PETER... good times
I even somehow got it timed right so he's goin with the beat sorta...
